How we handle reports
We acknowledge receipt within seven days. We assess and investigate proportionately and confidentially. We provide feedback to the reporter (where contact is provided) within three months. We take corrective action where the report is substantiated.
Protection from retaliation
APIS Group strictly prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports a concern in good faith — whether or not the report is ultimately substantiated. Retaliation is itself a breach of our Code of Ethics and is treated accordingly. This protection is aligned with EU Directive 2019/1937 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law.
Confidentiality and data protection
The reporter's identity is treated as confidential and only shared on a strict need-to-know basis. Personal data is processed under our Privacy Notice and EU GDPR (2016/679).
Bad-faith reporting
Knowingly false reports made for malicious purposes are not protected and may themselves be subject to disciplinary or legal action.
